1 Application of diamond abrasive belt for glass
After cutting glass, the edge of the glass is very sharp and fragile, and the glass must be ground to improve the fragility of glass. 2.1 The hardness of diamond is much higher than that of silicon carbide, so the speed of diamond abrasive belt for glass is 10 times faster than that of silicon carbide abrasive belt.
2.2 The service life of diamond abrasive belt for glass is longer, and the interval replacement time of belt is increased from less 30min to 72hours. It reduces the time of belt replacement and greatly improves the efficiency of the whole production line.
2.3 In the process of grinding glass with the diamond abrasive belt, the proportion of viscoplasticity removal is very small, and the grinding energy consumption is low(only about 10% of silicon carbide belt). The glass grinding surface is opaque ivory.
2.4 dust pollution in the grinding process is also relatively small.
3 Cost analysis of domestic case
According to the research of a domestic automotive glass manufacturer, the factory has a continuous laminated glass production line with an annual output of 550,000m². It applies the imported diamond abrasive belt for edging from Europe.
Each belt is 1800*75mm, and the price is 2500RMB/pcs. 2 diamond abrasive belts( 1pair) are installed one edging grinder, and the grinding time of each set is the 60s, and the service life of each pair of the abrasive belt is 3 days, and the production line operates continuously 24 hours. The following calculations have been made.
Size of each glass is 1448 mm + 720 mm.
Glass area: 1.04 m², grinding edge length 4.336m;
Daily grinding capacity: 1497.6 m², grinding edge length 6243.8 m;
3-day grinding capacity (service life of each abrasive belt): 4492.8 m², 18700 M
Annual grinding capacity: 550,000 m², grinding edge length 2275,000 m.
We compare the comprehensive cost of the diamond abrasive belt for glass with that of conventional abrasive belt.
The conventional abrasive belt is cheap. If it is used for automobile glass grinding, choose high-grade silicon carbide abrasive belt. The market price of 1800*750 silicon carbide abrasive belt is RMB 10/pcs. The service life of each pair of silicon carbide abrasive belt used for automobile glass grinding is 30 mins. The replacement of the abrasive belt and the debugging time is 15mins.
The grinding efficiency is lower than that of the diamond abrasive belt for glass. It can work out the time consumption, belt consumption and related cost of each production line 550,000m² automobile glass, and compared with those of diamond abrasive belt. See the below table.
Note: The number of workers of each production line is 400, and the water and electricity consumption of each person is 2000RMB/month.
It can be seen from the table that although the production cost of the diamond abrasive belt for glass is high, the unit price is much higher than that of silicon carbide abrasive belt. However, due to the service life of silicon carbide abrasive belt is short, and the replacement frequency is high, the actual cost of tool consumption and unit cost consumption are far higher than that of the diamond abrasive belt for glass.
Therefore, the diamond abrasive belt is the ideal tools for automobile glass edge grinding process.
